DA Vance: Davon Pinkston Sentenced to 60 ½ Years to Life in Prison for Role in Violent Gang Turf War in Harlem

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance, Jr., announced the sentencing of DAVON PINKSTON, 23, to 60 ½ years to life in state prison for his role in a bitter and violent gang turf war in West Harlem. On August 20, 2015, the defendant was convicted in New York State Supreme Court of multiple felonies, including Conspiracy in the First and Third Degrees, Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree, Attempted Assault in the First Degree, Attempted Gang Assault in the First Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. Three co-defendants, JAVANN GARNES, 23, KEITH GOODMAN, 33, and ALEJANDRO RIVERA, 23, were also convicted at the same trial of Conspiracy and other felony charges.
