Forensic AccountantOpen

Perform highly complex professional financial analyses and audits of financial records pertaining to alleged criminal activity. Independently gather and analyze complex financial data, verifying the accuracy of financial records. Perform investigative research and present results in the form of oral presentation and grand jury testimony. Conduct forensic analyses to determine whether or not an offense has occurred, the methodology used to commit the offense, and the total financial loss to the victim. Perform related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in accounting required. A minimum of seven years of professional level financial analysis or accounting experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2000 a plus. Superior organizational and communication skills are essential. Ability to work independently.

Information Technology/Forensic AnalystOpen

The New York County District Attorney’s Office seeks experienced Computer Forensic analysts.  The Senior or Forensic analyst will be responsible for maintaining detailed written work logs and case documentation following Forensic procedures, executing search warrants for electronic evidence, disassembling, configuring and troubleshooting computer hardware, including cell phones and PDAs, testifying in Grand Jury and trials, and interacting with law enforcement personnel and agencies;

Bachelor’s degree in information management or computer science preferred.  Candidate must have knowledge of Computer Forensic Industry standards and software, excellent technical skills and documented hands on experience with all type of computer hardware and operating systems.  Excellent communication skills, both orally and in written form required.  Valid driver’s license required.

Investigators investigate a variety of crimes including organized crime, drug trafficking, political corruption, white collar, and fraud cases. Investigators perform surveillance and undercover work, conduct interviews, execute warrants, and make arrests. They also conduct background investigations on all employees of the District Attorney's Office.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree and two years of law enforcement experience or a satisfactory equivalent.
