Construction Industry Strike Force/Labor Racketeering Unit (CISF/LRU)
The Construction Industry Strike Force was formed as an alliance of various law enforcement agencies to uncover and prosecute corrupt practices in the construction industry in New York City. The unit targets construction companies, labor unions in the construction trades, and organized crime figures who influence and control those companies and unions. The Unit is staffed by senior Assistant District Attorneys experienced in handling long-term investigations and complex prosecutions. These ADAs work closely with a variety of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, including the New York City Police Department, the New York State Police, the Organized Crime Task Force of the New York State Attorney General's Office, and the New York State Inspector General's Office. The ADAs also work closely with financial investigators and accounts, who provide expertise in the forensic analysis of financial records of the construction companies, labor unions, and others under investigation.
