Attorney and Former Fugitive Pleads Guilty to Stealing Millions from Clients

On October 17, 2012, Douglas Arntsen was sentenced to 4-to-12 years in state prison and ordered to pay restitution for embezzling more than $10 million from two clients of the Manhattan-based law firm Crowell & Moring LLP, where the defendant was employed. On October 2, 2012, Douglas Arntsen pleaded guilty to three counts of Grand Larceny in the First Degree and one count of Scheme to Defraud.
