In November 2011, the Office brought indictments against street gangs that terrorized the neighborhood surrounding West 129th Street between Lenox and Fifth Avenues were indicted on conspiracy and guns-related charges. Thirteen defendants pleaded guilty to importing, possessing, and using firearms. Many of these firearms—including semiautomatic pistols, revolvers, rifles and assault weapons, as well as ammunition—were used in shootings in Central Harlem between 2007 and 2011. Additinally, following a six-week trial in June 2012, a jury found twins Hodean Graham and Kadean Graham guilty of conspiracy. They were sentenced to 1 1/3 to 4 years in jail.
