Mendoni receives 11 Greek antiquities recovered by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office 
Culture Minister Lina Mendoni on Tuesday received 11 ancient Greek artifacts from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, handed over by the Chief of the Antiquities Trafficking Unit and Senior Trial Counsel, Assistant District Attorney Matthew Bogdanos.

“The return of these pieces is the product of a substantial and ongoing investigation into several traffickers,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I am pleased we have now seized more than 120 antiquities throughout the investigation, and that is continuing to this day. “Our close collaboration with the Italian authorities continues to yield significant results, and I am thrilled that these 107 antiquities are being sent home,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Italy has unfortunately suffered significant and extensive looting over the past 60 years, and we will continue to do everything possible track down and return pieces that pass through Manhattan.”
Manhattan DA’s Office Announces Repatriation of Marcus Aurelius Statue to the People of Türkiye 
“I am pleased the Cleveland Museum of Art agrees that this statue belongs to the people of Türkiye. This investigation included extensive witness interviews and forensic testing that proved conclusively this antiquity was looted from Bubon. I appreciate the museum’s cooperation throughout this matter, which is illustrative of how we can work together to ensure that looted antiquities are in the possession of its rightful owners. Our extensive investigation into the widespread and historic looting at Bubon has now led to 15 antiquities recovered for the people of Türkiye, and I thank our team of prosecutors, analysts, and investigators for their hard work,” said District Attorney Bragg.

“The pieces being returned today reflect the depth and beauty of this ancient cultural heritage. There are unfortunately many more pieces looted from Mexico that are still sitting in galleries, homes and auction houses, and we will continue to track them down with our law enforcement partners at HSI,” said District Attorney Bragg.

“Tomas Dunn has been held accountable for killing Saladeen Cochrane, a warm and loving person, in a heinous and senseless act of gun violence on a Manhattan sidewalk,” said District Attorney Bragg. “To Mr. Cochrane's loved ones, he represented a beloved family man, including a caring husband and father, and my thoughts remain with his heartbroken family as they continue to mourn their devastating loss. I hope the sentence imposed today can bring them a sense of peace and justice."

“As alleged, Daniel Hyden was driving while intoxicated when he plowed through a group of friends and family celebrating the Fourth of July in Corlears Hook Park. This alleged act tragically cut the lives of Lucille Pinkney, Herman Pinkney, Emily Ruiz, and Ana Morel short and severely injured seven others,” said District Attorney Bragg. “My thoughts are with the families of those whose lives were lost, the injured victims, and the tight-knit community, all of whom are reeling from the effects of this horrifying and senseless tragedy.”
