Report Police Corruption and Misconduct

The Police Accountability Unit (PAU) of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office prosecutes acts of criminal corruption and misconduct by law enforcement officers that take place in Manhattan. Examples of criminal misconduct by law enforcement officers include the use of excessive force; the taking of bribes; illegal stops, searches, or arrests; perjury; the filing of false paperwork; and the theft of personal property. If you have witnessed law enforcement misconduct and you are a law enforcement officer, this form allows you to report it directly to us. If you have video footage, photos, documents, or other evidence, you can include it in your report.

Not every report will lead to prosecution, but we will investigate each credible allegation for which sufficient information is provided.

This form is for the exclusive use of law enforcement officers. Anyone else may make a report of police misconduct here.
