D.A. Bragg: Woman Indicted In Stabbing Of Greyhound Bus Employee At Port Authority Bus Terminal

October 16, 2025

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr., today announced the indictment of ANGELLE THOMPSON, 36, for allegedly stabbing a Greyhound bus employee at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in September 2025. THOMPSON is charged in a New York State Supreme Court indictment with one count each of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree and Assault in the Second Degree. [1]

“As alleged, Angelle Thompson viciously stabbed a hardworking employee who was just doing her job,” said District Attorney Bragg. “We will not tolerate acts of violence committed against workers and commuters who use Manhattan’s transit hubs. I wish the victim a full recovery as she continues to heal from this horrific attack.”

As alleged in court documents and statements made on the record, from late in the evening on September 22, 2025 and into the early morning hours the next day, THOMPSON was continuously prohibited from boarding a Greyhound bus at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, creating ongoing disputes with the employees there.

On September 23, 2025, at approximately 7:00 a.m., THOMPSON allegedly went to the Greyhound ticket office, attempted to purchase a ticket, and got into an argument with the 25-year-old employee at the counter. THOMPSON allegedly then went behind the ticket counter and stabbed the victim several times, including in the head, torso and legs. An eyewitness alerted Port Authority Police Department officers, who arrived as THOMPSON was standing over the victim, and arrested her. The victim was taken to the hospital, where she received stitches for her injuries, including approximately nine lacerations to her body.

Assistant D.A. John Logan is handling the prosecution of this case under the supervision of Assistant D.A. Erin Tierney (Chief of Trial Bureau 30) and Executive D.A. Lisa DelPizzo (Chief of the Trial Division). Trial Preparation Assistant Peter Ferrari (Trial Bureau 30) and Investigative Analysts Theodore Bellak (Trial Bureau 30) are providing invaluable assistance in this case.

D.A. Bragg thanked the officers of the Port Authority Police Department, particularly Officer Shawn Changtroraleke and Detective Brendon Plunkett.
