A man "motivated by Neo-Nazi and white supremacist ideologies" was indicted for allegedly selling firearms and gun parts while behind bars in federal custody, New York authorities said Tuesday.

A man accused of selling guns and gun parts while in federal prison to potential buyers “motivated by Neo-Nazi and white supremacist ideologies” was indicted, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced Tuesday.

New York state and federal authorities announced charges Tuesday against an alleged firearms dealer who was peddling guns and gun parts from prison in a case described as the "confluence of guns and extremism."

"While incarcerated, Hayden Espinosa allegedly sold guns and gun parts by using contraband electronic devices,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Furthermore, we alleged Espinosa operated a Telegram channel that is a hub of ethnically and racially motivated extremist ideology."

I hope today’s sentence can provide Mr. Monclus’s loved ones a sense of comfort and closure as Tom Ruiz and Jonathan Tolentino are being held accountable for their fatal actions.”
