Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said Eduardo Diaz, 44, had been fired months before the shooting and sent threatening text messages to his former employer before the attack.

Central NY state worker and her boyfriend ran sex trafficking ring from NYC to Utica, DA says 
The pair would arrange for women - and at least one underage girl - to meet clients in hotels in New York City and in the Utica and Rome area, according to a news release from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced that Deanna DiCastro, 39, and Gilliam Cordero, 38, are charged in a New York State Supreme Court indictment with sex trafficking a child, robbery and promoting prostitution for crimes that happened between October 2025 and January 2026.
