Man, 70, Attacked On Manhattan Train Platform, DA Says
A man named Abderanman Mayo has been accused of attacking a 70-year-old man on the platform of an A train at 145th Street station, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said on Thursday.

Abderanman Mayo, 28, is charged with two counts of second-degree assault for the attack, which occurred on March 16, 2024, at about 11 p.m.

Gang War Ravaged East Harlem for Six Months, Prosecutors Say
In East Harlem, a six-month gang war led to gunfire in playgrounds, buildings, courtyards and crowded streets, accounting for half the shootings in a single police precinct, law enforcement officials said on Tuesday. The feud between the gangs, known as Wuski and LA World, resulted in 21 shootings, according to Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney, who on Tuesday announced two indictments against 16 members.
