A 32-year-old man was indicted Thursday for sexually assaulting and robbing a woman walking through Riverside Park last month, the Manhattan D.A. announced

“Particularly in the warm summer months, New Yorkers need to know they can safely use our city’s many beautiful waterfront parks,” said District Attorney Bragg. “This individual allegedly attacked and sexually assaulted a woman in Riverside Park, and then attempted to prevent her from calling 911 by stealing her cellphone. Despite that, this brave survivor was able to call with help from a passerby, and I thank the NYPD for its quick response.”
