Kids packed Basketball City on the Lower East Side on Saturday for the kick-off and tip-off of "Saturday Night Lights." The youth basketball tournament is supported by the NYPD and the NBA with the goal of giving young people something to do and keeping them off the streets.

A lawyer and two brothers stole more than 250,000 pairs of pants worth $2 million in a Manhattan import plot, prosecutors said.

Two brothers from Long Island have been accused of conspiring to fraudulently obtain more than $2 million in clothing using stolen business information from a New York City home furnishings importer for whom a co-conspirator had provided legal services, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.
