“As alleged, Edward Asencio neglected and isolated his 84-year-old mother before killing her in their shared apartment. “As alleged, Marvin White assaulted a 77-year-old woman who was walking to Urgent Care in an unprovoked attack, before assaulting the two police officers who responded to her cries for help,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Members of the NYPD risk their safety every day to protect New Yorkers, and I thank them for their partnership in keeping Manhattan safe. I hope the three victims continue to heal from their injuries.”
