Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr., today announced the indictment of ABDUL LITTLE, 46, for stabbing a 31-year-old man while onboard the Metro-North at Grand Central station in January 2025. LITTLE is charged in a New York State Supreme Court indictment with one count each of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Attempted Assault in the First Degree, Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. [1]
“As alleged, Abdul Little viciously stabbed a train passenger on a train pulling into Manhattan’s landmark train station,” said District Attorney Bragg. “New Yorkers and commuters deserve to be safe while navigating our railroads and subways, and we will seek full accountability for anyone who commits these horrific acts of violence. I wish the victim a speedy and full recovery.”
According to court documents and statements made on the record in court, on January 4, 2025, at approximately 6:47 p.m., LITTLE and the man were onboard a Metro-North train coming into Manhattan. While on the train, they argued about LITTLE’s phone being too loud. When the train entered Grand Central station the argument continued, during which LITTLE took out a knife and stabbed the man in the chest.
Once the two exited the train, the victim flagged down nearby police officers and pointed LITTLE out to them. Officers arrested LITTLE as he was attempting to flee. While arresting LITTLE, officers recovered a knife from his possession.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for a wound to his chest which required stitches.
Assistant D.A.s Caroline Edgar is handling the prosecution of this case, under the supervision of Assistant D.A. Charles Whitt (Chief of Trial Bureau 60) and Executive D.A. Lisa DelPizzo (Chief of the Trial Division).
D.A. Bragg thanked Officer Charles Drabik of the Metropolitan Transit Authority Police Department.
