D.A. Bragg: Neurologist Indicted For Allegedly Sexually Abusing Two Patients

October 13, 2026

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr., today announced the indictment of Dr. TARIQ LAMKI, 51, a neurologist, for allegedly sexually abusing two patients. LAMKI is charged in a New York State Supreme Court indictment with two counts each of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, Forcible Touching, and Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree.[1]

“A doctor’s appointment should never end in sexual abuse,” said District Attorney Bragg. “This investigation is ongoing. I urge anyone who has been assaulted by a doctor to call our Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Bureau at 212-335-4308.”

As alleged in court documents and statements made on the record in court, LAMKI is a neurologist at 14th Street Medical Arts, an independent, multi-specialty practice located near Stuyvesant Town-Peter Cooper Village. LAMKI allegedly sexually abused the first neurological patient on August 25, 2026, and the second on September 2, 2026. On each occasion, LAMKI sexually abused them over their clothing under the guise of giving them massages, while they lay on the table in a closed-door exam room.

Assistant D.A. Davis Rosser is handling the prosecution of this case under the supervision of Assistant D.A. Jonathan Carfagno (Deputy Chief of the IPSV Bureau), Vanessa Puzio (Chief of the IPSV Bureau) and Shannon Lucey (Deputy Chief of the Special Victims Division), and Executive Assistant D.A. Justin McNabney (Chief of the Special Victims Division). Analyst Addie-Grace Cook is assisting with the case.
