District Attorney Alvin Bragg said that retail theft is a “scourge” that severely impacts local small businesses and jeopardizes the safety of employees and customers, therefore [subject unclear] used “every possible tool” to address this current common situation of selling stolen goods. Law enforcement records showed that DA investigators have collected evidence through means of field surveillance, covert purchasing and conducting scans on stolen goods, and the search warrant was issued and executed on January 17 this year.
