D.A. Bragg Announces Prison Sentence Of Final Defendant In Death Of Teen Cousin Click For More

“Mitchaux Booker conducted a prolonged and brutal campaign of sustained physical and emotional abuse of his own cousin, a defenseless, special-needs child,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Booker’s actions, including his decision to delay medical care and lie to authorities to coverup what happened, cruelly cut Jallen McConnie’s life short. No family should ever have to endure such unimaginable heartbreak and devastation, and now, those involved have all been held accountable.”

In Manhattan, major crime is down in nearly every category compared to last year. And so far this year Manhattan had ZERO homicides, a first since 2018!

Murders and shootings continue to decline to pre-pandemic levels. There is always more work to do, but along with our partners at the NYPD we are continuing our efforts to reduce gun violence and keep our borough safe.
