The Manhattan District Attorney's office yesterday announced an indictment involving seven people allegedly tied to the Lower East Side-based "Up the Hill" crew, accused of a series of gang-related shootings between mid-2024 and late 2025.

Seven members of the Up the Hill gang are indicted for trying to get guns and urder their rivals in the Down the Hill gang. "Two different housing developments seeing each other as rivals, is a jurisdictional turf." He says a significant portion of their shooting cases are gang related, but the numbers are declining.

New York lawmakers want 3D-printer companies to block the creation of ‘ghost guns’ Click For More

At a press event on Tuesday, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said two 3D-printing companies had voluntarily agreed to adopt technology that would block the creation of guns using their printers; another digital design company agreed to remove some firearm CAD files (the printing blueprints) from their services, Bragg said. Lawmakers have proposed legislation that would make it illegal to sell or possess gun CAD files without a license and would require 3D-printer companies to block the printing of firearms. Related restrictions have been proposed or are law in states like Colorado, New Jersey, and Washington.
