Man indicted for attempted rape of teen in Upper East Side: DA 
UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) — A man accused of attempting to rape a 19-year-old woman in Manhattan on August 10 was indicted on multiple charges, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced Wednesday.

“As alleged, Quincy Burks tackled and sexually assaulted a young woman in a horrific late-night attack,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I am thankful for the doorman who intervened, our fellow New Yorkers who called 911, and the swift work of the NYPD.”

“This defendant’s alleged activity went beyond legal and peaceful protest. Committing arson in a crowded protest endangers the safety of others, and this type of behavior will not be tolerated,” District Attorney Alvin Bragg said in the news release. “We will continue to work closely with the NYPD and local colleges and universities to ensure the safety of students, staff and community members during any protest or demonstration.”

A 21-year-old man was indicted in the death a man in a drive-by shooting, crash and gunpoint robbery in Harlem in July, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr., announced Tuesday.
