New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg, Jr announced Wednesday they have filed an amicus brief before he U.S. Supreme Court in Garland v. VanDerStok, in support of federal rehulations issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives that require ghost gun parts to have serial numbers and compel background checks for buyers. Ghost guns, which are proliferating across the nation, are untraceable weapons often made at home from kits. Gunmakers are challenging the Biden admintration rules regulating ghost guns just like other guns, and the Supreme Court in April agreed to take up the case.
