Stolen 16th Century Manuscript Returned to Paraguay: D.A. Bragg 
The intrepid sleuths of the Antiquities Trafficking Unit (ATU) of the Manhattan D.A.’s office have done it again—this time returning a unique 13-page manuscript to Paraguay, from whose National Archives in Asunción it was pilfered at least a decade ago.

A 16th century manuscript that was stolen from Paraguay’s National Archives more than a decade ago before making its way to a rare book dealer on the Upper West Side is being repatriated to Paraguay, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said.
