D.A. Bragg Announces Indictment Of Man For Attempted Murder Of Former Boss On The Upper West Side
“As alleged, Eduardo Diaz brutally targeted, shot and seriously injured his former employer in a broad daylight attack on a busy city street,” said District Attorney Bragg. “This alleged conduct not only endangered the life of the victim, but also brazenly disregarded the safety of Manhattanites both in the community and surrounding area – causing rippling effects for many New Yorkers as Mr. Diaz fled into the subway system with a firearm. My Office will continue to work in tandem with our law enforcement partners to combat gun violence and I wish the victim a swift recovery.”
D.A. Bragg & NYPD Commissioner Tisch: Man Indicted For Selling Firearms To Undercover Officer In Harlem
“As alleged, Joseph Moore purposely sold dangerous, illegal firearms to an undercover officer on several occasions,” said District Attorney Bragg. “The guns Moore allegedly sold had a significant risk of causing harm to fellow Manhattanites, and I am thankful that one of the NYPD's brave undercover officers was able to prevent the weapons from making it onto our city’s streets. Protecting Manhattan’s communities from gun violence remains my top priority and we will continue using all the tools at our disposal to reduce gun violence.”
D.A. Bragg, Port Authority IG Announce Indictment Of $250 Million Off-Shore Insurance Scheme
District Attorney Bragg said: “New Yorkers trust that when they purchase insurance, whether to safeguard their home or operate on an airport tarmac, they are paying for protection in times of crisis. As alleged, these defendants flagrantly lied and issued worthless insurance policies from their off-shore company while pocketing thousands in premiums and fees. I thank our partners at Port Authority’s Office of the Inspector General for their partnership in rooting out fraud and protecting New Yorkers.”
D.A. Bragg Announces Increased Funding Opportunity For Summer Youth Gun Violence Prevention
“As someone who grew up in Harlem myself, I know firsthand the importance of keeping young people engaged and busy during the summer months. I am thrilled to announce up to $300,000 in funding for summer youth gun violence prevention, building on the success of the past three years of this initiative,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Driving down gun violence is my top priority, and with shootings down 48 percent since I took office, we are building on that progress. Prevention initiatives are one key way we’re doing that, alongside focused prosecutions in areas of concentrated violence and traditional law enforcement methods. I urge organizations big and small to team up and apply for this funding.”

“As alleged, Rayshawn Weir kept this child in a perpetual state of fear and pain over the course of 15 months,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Only when bystanders intervened as he allegedly attempted to strangle her at the Port Authority bus station did this horrific abuse come to an end. If you or someone you know is being abused, know that we are here to help: call 212-335-9373.”
