“As alleged, Guy Bondobari and Marcel Toula operated a multi-state credit card fraud ring to steal over $1.9 million dollars from American Express and purchase lavish items, including thirteen luxury watches,” said District Attorney Bragg. “This investigation remains ongoing. “As alleged, Edward Asencio neglected and isolated his 84-year-old mother before killing her in their shared apartment. The defendant’s alleged attack on his own mother, who relied on him for care, is abhorrent,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Older New Yorkers deserve quality care, and those who abuse the people in their care will be held accountable. “Michael McCloskey will serve a significant prison sentence for stabbing a man commuting during the early morning hours,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Although physically healed, the victim is still reeling from the effects of this attack. I thank the Port Authority Police Department for their fast response, which likely saved this New Yorker’s life.”
