“As alleged, Joshua Dorsett shot two NYPD officers while fleeing from the scene of the armed robbery where he targeted a group of people playing mahjong. Every day, the brave members of the NYPD risk their lives to protect New Yorkers and Joshua Dorsett’s alleged actions could have killed these responding officers,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I thank the NYPD for their constant partnership as we work together to keep Manhattan safe. I hope Sergeants Carl Johnson and Christopher Leap continue to heal from this horrific attack.”

“In Manhattan’s competitive real estate market, signing a contract to purchase a home should bring a sigh of relief. Instead, we allege, a real estate attorney abused the trust placed in him by draining an escrow account of $210,000 in funds for a newly contracted apartment weeks after the ink had dried,” said District Attorney Bragg. “New Yorkers must be able to trust that attorneys act ethically and professionally, and we will hold those in the legal profession to those very high standards.”
