“Jose Rodriguez allegedly fired shots towards his ex-girlfriend and her nephew, tragically taking Mr. Alvarez’s life - a young dad-to-be who was awaiting the birth of his child this month,” said District Attorney Bragg. “My sincerest condolences go out to the victim and the rest of Mr. Alvarez’s family and loved ones as they navigate this difficult time. Our dedicated prosecutors are working hard to pursue full accountability in this case.”
D.A. Bragg Announces Indictment Of Woman For Stealing Legal Fees From Clients Applying For Permanent Residency 
“Analie Vargas allegedly preyed on hopeful New Yorkers of all backgrounds who trusted her to help them apply for permanent residence. Instead of filing their applications with the fees they provided, she allegedly pocketed the money for herself, spending it on food, travel, and other personal expenses,” said District Attorney Bragg. “If you believe you or someone you know has been a victim of this type of fraud, we urge you to call our office’s Immigration Affairs Unit hotline at 212-335-3600 or via WhatsApp at 347-371-0877.
