This verdict should send a message to other bad actors who think they can hide behind cryptocurrency: our prosecutors and investigators have the knowledge and expertise to peel back those layers of secrecy and hold you accountable.”

D.A. Bragg Announces Indictment Of Woman For Stealing Legal Fees From Clients Applying For Permanent Residency Click For More

“Analie Vargas allegedly preyed on hopeful New Yorkers of all backgrounds who trusted her to help them apply for permanent residence. Instead of filing their applications with the fees they provided, she allegedly pocketed the money for herself, spending it on food, travel, and other personal expenses,” said District Attorney Bragg. “If you believe you or someone you know has been a victim of this type of fraud, we urge you to call our office’s Immigration Affairs Unit hotline at 212-335-3600 or via WhatsApp at 347-371-0877. “Terence Banks was convicted by a jury of violently sexually assaulting a child and brutally raping a young woman just two weeks apart, turning two summer days on Randall’s Island into the scene of horrific crimes,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Everyone should be able to use our city’s parks exactly as these New Yorkers were – skateboarding and reading – without fear for their safety. I admire the bravery of these survivors for taking the stand and thank the jury for its careful consideration of their testimony and the evidence before them.
