D.A. Bragg Announces Indictment of Man for Murder of Neighbor and Her Friend, and Fatal Shooting of Her Dog in Washington Heights
“As alleged, Lenue Moore tracked down and fired multiple shots at Jacqueline Billini, Harvin Levaughn and a dog in a vicious act of cruelty after Ms. Billini appropriately reported Mr. Moore to law enforcement for previous alleged acts of violence,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Two beloved New Yorkers are dead, and my thoughts are with their utterly devastated family members in their ongoing grief. The presence of a gun makes any situation far more likely to turn lethal, and ridding our streets of illegal firearms and the violence they bring remains my top priority as district attorney.”
D.A. Bragg Announces Indictment Of Youth Flag Football Coach For Paying Children To Send Nude Photos
“As alleged, this flag football coach used his access to children to gain their trust and paid them to send him explicit images and videos,” said District Attorney Bragg. “While this case began with an initial report, more survivors came forward with similar accounts. We urge concerned parents and caregivers whose children may have had contact with this individual to call our Special Victims Division at 212-335-3400.”
D.A. Bragg Announces Guilty Plea of Cliffie Thompson For Operating Ghost Gun Factory
“Today Cliffie Thompson was held accountable for contributing to the proliferation of ghost guns in Manhattan and New York City as a whole by operating an illegal ghost gun factory in his apartment,” said District Attorney Bragg. “The easy assembly of ghost guns means bad actors are able to evade New York’s strict gun laws in their own homes. As we work with our law enforcement partners to remain vigilant on enforcement, we renew our call to the New York legislature to make the manufacturing of 3D-printed guns and gun parts illegal. It’s time to close these loopholes and strengthen penalties.”
D.A. Bragg Announces Charges Against Driver of NYC Carriage Horse Ryder
“As alleged, Ryder should not have been working on this hot summer day. Despite his condition, he was out for hours and worked to the point of collapse,” said District Attorney Bragg. “All animals deserve to be treated with the utmost care and the type of abuse that Ryder allegedly suffered is unacceptable.”
D.A. Bragg Announces Prison Sentence Of Willie Gomez In Brutal MTA Bus Attack
“Willie Gomez inflicted serious harm on the victims of his unprovoked attack. No New Yorker should fear for their safety while using public transportation, and today’s sentencing once against demonstrates that we will not accept violence against straphangers,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I know that the victims are still suffering from the impact of their injuries and hope that they can continue to recover and find some measure of peace in today’s sentencing.”
D.A. Bragg Announces Guilty Plea of Cory Davis For Manufacturing Ghost Guns In An Upper East Side Apartment
“Today Cory Davis accepted responsibility for manufacturing and possessing firearms,” said District Attorney Bragg. “These weapons are extremely dangerous and had the potential to harm our communities had they fallen into the wrong hands. The proliferation of ghost guns is a serious problem and our prosecutors are thoroughly investigating and bringing forth illegal firearms cases in the interest of public safety.”
