“Perin Jacobchuk will serve state prison time for committing two, separate, brutal attacks fueled by his prejudices and biases,” said District Attorney Bragg. “These hate crimes left both New Yorkers with physical injuries, which they have thankfully fully recovered from. I hope that the resolution of this case can offer the victims comfort in knowing that Jacobchuk has been held accountable, and I thank our Hate Crimes Unit for their hard work in this case.”

“As alleged, Daniel Idowu and True Womack callously shot at individuals on a crowded Manhattan sidewalk, seriously injuring a 7-year-old innocent bystander,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Thankfully, the child lived and brave police officers were able to act quickly to apprehend these defendants and prevent them from causing further harm. Children are among our most vulnerable New Yorkers and deserve to be safe from the very real, oftentimes deadly, consequences of gun violence. In Manhattan we will continue holding accountable those who commit these violent acts. I wish the victim a speedy recovery.”

“As alleged, these two men utterly terrified a woman and her young grandchild when they burst into their home, threatened them at gunpoint, and tore apart the apartment before stealing a safe and numerous items of value,” said District Attorney Bragg. “This investigation is ongoing, and we will seek full accountability for this horrific home invasion.”

“As alleged, Eduardo Diaz brutally targeted, shot and seriously injured his former employer in a broad daylight attack on a busy city street,” said District Attorney Bragg. “This alleged conduct not only endangered the life of the victim, but also brazenly disregarded the safety of Manhattanites both in the community and surrounding area – causing rippling effects for many New Yorkers as Mr. Diaz fled into the subway system with a firearm. My Office will continue to work in tandem with our law enforcement partners to combat gun violence and I wish the victim a swift recovery.”

“As alleged, Joseph Moore purposely sold dangerous, illegal firearms to an undercover officer on several occasions,” said District Attorney Bragg. “The guns Moore allegedly sold had a significant risk of causing harm to fellow Manhattanites, and I am thankful that one of the NYPD's brave undercover officers was able to prevent the weapons from making it onto our city’s streets. Protecting Manhattan’s communities from gun violence remains my top priority and we will continue using all the tools at our disposal to reduce gun violence.”
