NFT Scams and Frauds
Recent months have seen an explosion in consumers’ interest and investment in non-fungible tokens (“NFTs”). March 2021 has already seen the sale of some of these NFTs for tens of millions of dollars. The proliferation of these tokens and sites dedicated to the sale and custody of these tokens has, however, also led to increased criminal activity. Investors and buyers can take certain basic steps to protect themselves from these attacks.

Estafas y Fraudes Relacionados a COVID-19

COVID-19 Related Scams and Frauds
The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office is calling on New Yorkers to be aware of and report COVID-19-related scams and frauds. Be suspicious of anyone who contacts you – whether via phone call, email, or text message – requesting money and/or your personal identifying information (Social Security Number, birth date, address, etc.).

Grand Jury Report on Epidemic of Vehicular Violence
A grand jury empaneled by the D.A.'s Office recommended extensive legislative and policy fixes to address the epidemic of vehicular violence that has killed 28 of our Manhattan neighbors year-to-date, and injured thousands more. The report led the D.A.’s Office to craft the Vehicular Violence Accountability Act.
