33-year-old New York male posing as an immigration lawyer gained over 10 thousand dollars unlawfully.

Cuenca (Pablo Israel Ortega Cuenca), male, 33, in New York, obtained several thousands of dollars of unlawful gain in legal fees by posing as an immigration lawyer. On January 11, New York City Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced the indictment against Cuenca with [sic] counts of immigrant assistance services in the first degree, two counts of grand larceny in the third degree and one count of scheme to defraud in the first degree in court.

Pablo Israel Ortega Cuenca, male, 33, who was posing as an immigration lawyer to submit asylum application on behalf of victims, submitted fake applications, or even nothing at all after receiving payments. He defrauded up to 10 thousand dollars in legal fees from multiple victims and was indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on the 11th. Chinese immigration lawyer reminded citizens to request business cards, signed contracts as well as receipts issued by the legal office when making payment, to ensure that the party is a legitimate attorney.
