“Roberto Guerrero threatened the safety of all New Yorkers, including his own children, when he decided to manufacture and store 3D-printed weapons – some of which were fully operable – in his home,” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. said. “As the technology behind 3D weapons continues to improve, the guns being produced are only becoming more sophisticated.”
“As alleged, Candido Rodriguez brutally murdered Melanie Woods, his ex-girlfriend, in her apartment after waiting for her to return from walking her dog. I send my deepest condolences to Ms. Woods’s family and friends as they continue to mourn her loss,” Bragg said. “Ms. Woods’s life was tragically cut short, and my Office will work to secure justice for her.
“With today’s guilty plea, 18 hard-working New Yorkers will be made whole and receive the wages stolen from them by their employers at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria,” said District Attorney Bragg. “This case expanded since the initial announcement because more workers came forward, making clear the importance of both outreach and reporting. We encourage anyone whose wages have been stolen to call our Worker Protection Unit by calling or messaging (646) 712-0298. The Office is a safe place to report crime, whether or not you are documented.”
