“Otoniel McKenzie committed utterly horrific crimes when he raped, filmed, and then stalked a young New Yorker for more than a week,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I thank the survivor for her bravery in taking the stand, and the members of the jury for carefully considering the evidence before them. I am grateful to our partners in the NYPD for their work identifying and arresting McKenzie, and finally, for our prosecutors who fought for accountability. If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, I assure you, we are here to help: call 212-335-9373.”
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. announced today that Davis Lange, 26, was found guilty of all charges by a New York State Supreme Court jury in a rape case involving a 23-year-old woman.
“A jury of Davis Lange’s peers found him guilty of raping a young woman who had considered him a friend during a visit to his apartment,” said District Attorney Bragg. “The survivor knew and trusted Lange, and he callously violated that trust. We thank her for bravely coming forward with her story, which is what ultimately led to this conviction.”
A grand jury has indicted a 39-year-old man from The Bronx accused of being the masked gunman in a white Tyvek suit who murdered an Upper East Side deli clerk during a robbery last month, prosecutors announced Thursday.
