“I thank this brave survivor, who had the courage to come forward and share her story,” said District Attorney Bragg.

“Ricardo Cruciani abused his power as a medical professional and knowingly took advantage of his patients’ pain. We entrust doctors to respect our bodies and health when we go to them for help, yet Dr. Cruciani utterly violated that duty. Dr. Cruciani left in his wake six survivors who continue to suffer from debilitating diseases, and now, years of trauma,” said District Attorney Bragg.

“Hannah and Beverly have spent decades listening to and elevating the voices of survivors,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Their experience as respected policy experts and service providers will greatly enhance our trauma-informed, survivor-centered practice.”

“The creation of the Special Victims Division and those who are appointed to lead it, represents how we are prioritizing survivors by dedicating skilled prosecutors and critical resources to this work,” said District Attorney Bragg.
