“Stanley Lafleur allegedly assaulted an unarmed MTA dispatcher who was merely doing his job,” said District Attorney Bragg. “We owe a lot to the hardworking members of the MTA for keeping our city moving and they deserve a safe working environment. We will continue to use all the tools at our disposal to keep our transit system safe.”
“New Yorkers deserve to ride our subways safely,” said District Attorney Bragg. “This alleged behavior is horrific. We will hold accountable those who commit sexual abuse on our trains or anywhere else.”
“Protecting New Yorkers and their right to travel freely on our subways and buses is of paramount importance to me. Allah Ali used force to terrify and sexually abuse a bus passenger and is now being held accountable,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I thank the prosecutors and staff of our Special Victims Division and Sex Crimes Unit for their work in ensuring justice as well as the brave straphangers and MTA personnel who sprang into action to help. My thoughts are with the courageous victim who shared her truth with the jury as she continues to heal.”
“The subway is a necessity for New Yorkers and this behavior will not be tolerated. Keshon Malachi shoved a random stranger and today is being held accountable for his actions,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I thank the NYPD and the brave straphangers who leapt into action to save their fellow New Yorker.”
“The subway is the backbone of our city. Everyone deserves to feel safe on the subway and this is especially true for the men and women who work so hard to keep the subway and this city running. As alleged, this defendant attacked a New Yorker doing her job. We wish her a speedy recovery and will hold this defendant accountable,” said District Attorney Bragg.
