“This driver allegedly engaged in an incredibly reckless and dangerous car chase that injured two NYPD officers. Many other lives were put at risk as he wove through streets and sidewalks, and even drove right through an outdoor dining structure. I wish the officers injured a full and speedy recovery,” said District Attorney Bragg.

“Sharon Godwin allegedly plowed her stolen vehicle onto a crowded sidewalk and injured multiple pedestrians and children. Vehicular violence is a serious threat to the everyday safety of Manhattanites who are trying to walk, bike or drive as they go about their daily lives,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Everyone has a right to safe streets that are free from reckless and dangerous driving.”
