“We allege that Darnell Jackson, without any provocation, brutally slashed a 72-year-old man on the street. A New Year’s trip to the deli should never end in death, and we will continue to hold anyone who commits violence accountable for their actions,” said District Attorney Bragg.

“Joshua Zinberg allegedly slashed an international tourist who was walking on the Upper West Side in an unprovoked and brazen daylight attack. When tourists visit New York, they should not have to fear for their safety,” said District Attorney Bragg. “We will continue to prosecute those who commit random acts of violence on the streets of Manhattan. I hope the victim continues to heal from this horrifying assault.” 

“Jesse Armstrong will serve a significant state prison term for viciously stabbing and killing Allen Stanford in a business establishment frequented by children and their families,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Mr. Stanford was a beloved father and friend, and my heart goes out to his loved ones as they continue to mourn his loss.”  

“As alleged, Ramon Rivera committed an unprovoked and violent series of stabbings across Manhattan, taking the lives of three New Yorkers who were going about their day,” said District Attorney Bragg. “These fatal stabbings have shaken our city, and those who commit random acts of violence will face accountability. My heart goes out to the loved ones of those who were tragically and senselessly killed: Angel Lata Landi, Chang Wang, and Wilna Augustin.”

“Jaheem Warren allegedly stalked a young woman for 25 minutes on the streets of Manhattan before he brutally attacked her, throwing her onto a pile of garbage bags and suffocating her,” said District Attorney Bragg. “This alleged conduct is abhorrent. People deserve to be safe when walking through Manhattan, and my Office will ensure accountability for those who commit horrific acts of violence.”
