Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg talks public safety strategy, 2022 election

Shootings and murders in Manhattan have decreased compared to last year, recent NYPD crime data shows. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg told Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Thursday that his office has had a “focused, laser-like approach” to tackling crime in the borough and bringing charges against the worst offenders.

Manhattan DA freezes $1.3M in stolen cryptocurrency

The Manhattan district attorney’s office has frozen more than $1.3 million in stolen cryptocurrency this year as part of its efforts to crack down on “cyberthieves,” it said Thursday. Cryptocurrency scammers who targeted three Manhattan residents between November of last year and April of this year bilked them out of more than $1.7 million, the DA’s office said in a press release.
