“Geoffrey Tracy critically injured an unarmed man. This type of violence cannot be accepted, and New Yorkers should know that my Office and our prosecutors are pursuing accountability by bringing these types of cases every single day. I hope the victim can continue to recover from his serious wounds and take a measure of comfort in the justice delivered from this verdict,” said District Attorney Bragg.
“The subway is a necessity for New Yorkers and this behavior will not be tolerated. Keshon Malachi shoved a random stranger and today is being held accountable for his actions,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I thank the NYPD and the brave straphangers who leapt into action to save their fellow New Yorker.”
Many New Yorkers charged with crimes will be connected with mental health and housing services soon after their first court appearances in an effort to speed treatment, Manhattan’s district attorney said on Wednesday.
The Manhattan district attorney’s office returned antiquities to Iraqi officials that were looted from the Iraq Museum in Baghdad amid the United States-led 2003 invasion of that country.
“These stunningly preserved artifacts are just a few of the many antiquities looted from the Iraq Museum. Thanks to the thoroughness of our investigators and prosecutors, we discovered that these pieces were for sale online without the proper documentation. We are pleased that they are finally returning home to the museum where they rightfully belong,” said District Attorney Bragg.
