“Repatriation ceremonies are a powerful reminder that preserving cultural heritage transcends any border or nationality,” said District Attorney Bragg. “This was an incredibly complicated, multi-faceted investigation that could only have been accomplished through close partnerships that spanned the globe, and I thank everyone involved for their tireless effort and dedication.”

“Our extraordinary partnership with Greece has now led to the return of 175 looted antiquities, and I look forward to continued repatriation ceremonies in the future,” said District Attorney Bragg.

“The breadth of these repatriations is a reminder of the global scope of antiquities trafficking,” said District Attorney Bragg. “None of this would be possible without the extraordinary investigative work of our team, and I am extremely grateful for their continued dedication.” 

“I am pleased that we have now been able to return more than 50 antiquities back to Mexico. We believe that the trafficking networks we have identified are responsible for other pieces looted throughout Mexico, and our work continues,” said District Attorney Bragg.

“In the past two years we have successfully repatriated more than 20 antiquities to the people of Nepal, all of which have come from well-known trafficking networks that we continue to dismantle. We hope to hold additional ceremonies with our counterparts in Nepal in the coming months and years,” said District Attorney Bragg.
