A lawyer and two brothers stole more than 250,000 pairs of pants worth $2 million in a Manhattan import plot, prosecutors said.
Two brothers from Long Island have been accused of conspiring to fraudulently obtain more than $2 million in clothing using stolen business information from a New York City home furnishings importer for whom a co-conspirator had provided legal services, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.
A suspended attorney and two brothers have been charged in New York court with scheming to assume the identity of a company that had worked with the lawyer and steal over 250,000 pairs of pants valued at more than $2 million, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg said Wednesday.
