The arraignments come one day after former HFZ Managing Principal Nir Meir was arrested in Florida in connection with the investigation, which alleges a fraud totaling $86 million, according to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. In addition to Meir, the defendants include Anthony Marrone, HFZ’s head of construction, along with executives at Omnibuild, the former contractor on HFZ’s troubled luxury condo project near the High Line, formerly known as the XI.
