Three United States Postal Workers were indicted on charges connected with the kidnapping and attempted rape of their coworker in the back of a postal truck in Manhattan, District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced on Wednesday.
Three New York City postal workers allegedly dragged their unconscious coworker into the back of a mail truck where one of the brutes attempted to rape the incapacitated woman during a 2023 work party, according to a new indictment.
“As alleged in this indictment, these three postal workers dragged their incapacitated colleague out of a post office and into a mail truck, where one attempted to rape her,” said District Attorney Bragg. “We take investigations and prosecutions of sexual violence extremely seriously and have the survivor-centered services and resources to help those who have been sexually assaulted. Business groups are mobilizing behind Gov. Kathy Hochul’s push to change the state’s evidence-sharing laws in order to prevent criminal cases from being dropped. The proposal, opposed by public defenders and some civil rights groups, is being viewed with skepticism by Albany lawmakers as they negotiate with Hochul before an April 1 deadline to include it in the state’s budget.
An Upper West Side woman was sentenced on Monday to 20 years in state prison for assaulting and causing the death of her autistic 15-year-old cousin in June 2021, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said.
