Encouraging signs for Manhattan D.A. this Gun Violence Awareness Month

The prosecutors credit both proactive and reactive enforcement, as well as addressing underlying causes.

Suspect Indicted In Brutal Attack On Mom On Randall’s Island

“A 44-year-old woman was riding her bike home from work when Miguel Jiraud allegedly brutally attacked her without provocation. To this day, she remains severely cognitively impaired,” District Attorney Alvin Bragg said. “This conduct is abhorrent. I hope she continues to recover from this terrifying assault, and I want to assure New Yorkers that we will ensure accountability for those who commit such acts of violence.”
