D.A. Bragg: Man Indicted For Unprovoked Stabbings At Grand Central Station

“As alleged, Gavin Ferguson viciously stabbed two commuters in an unprovoked attack during their morning commute,” said District Attorney Bragg. “This attack, which significantly injured both riders, took place onboard a crowded train, which potentially threatened the safety of surrounding subway riders. Acts of violence within our transit system will not be tolerated and I wish the victims a swift recovery.”

“Today, a jury of Zaire Allen and Hassan Winston’s peers found them responsible for the murder of Alonza Georgia in a vicious robbery which turned fatal,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Mr. Georgia, was a Manhattanite and beloved family man. My thoughts remain with the family as they continue to mourn their devastating loss. The conviction in this case is a testament to the hard work and diligence of our Violent Criminal Enterprises Unit and I thank the jury for its service.”
