Ghost guns have been an ongoing safety concern in New York City. The untraceable firearms, often made at home or with 3D printers, can bypass background checks and lack serial numbers.
Describing an evolving public safety threat, Bragg explained, “We’ve moved from the iron pipeline to really the kitchen table pipeline.”
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg made it clear in an exclusive interview with amNewYork on Tuesday: Albany must step up to help the city stop the proliferation of “ghost guns.”
“Alan Burak now faces significant prison time for his elaborate, fraudulent scheme. He defrauded twelve individuals out of millions of dollars, including loved ones who trusted him for financial advice,” said District Attorney Bragg. “I hope this conviction sends a message that those who steal hard earned money will be held accountable.”
