Statement from D.A. Bragg on the Sentencing of Lashawn Mackey

“Following his conviction at trial, Lashawn Mackey has been sentenced to a significant state prison term for the heinous murder of Maria Hernandez – a loving mother and grandmother.” said District Attorney Bragg. “The evidence presented at trial demonstrated the calculated and appalling nature of this crime, and today’s sentence reflects its severity. Since Ms. Hernandez’s killing, her family has endured unimaginable grief and loss and, while we cannot undo this tragedy, I hope today’s outcome brings them comfort in knowing the defendant has been held accountable.”

D.A. Bragg: Isaac Argro Sentenced To 25 Years-To-Life For Fatally Shooting Azsia Johnson In Front Of Their Infant

“Azsia Johnson was a loving parent who left an abusive relationship and began to rebuild her life. Her dreams of moving forward were brought to a horrific end when her ex, Isaac Argro, executed her in cold blood in front of their infant daughter,” said District Attorney Bragg. “While today’s prison sentence is a just resolution, there is nothing that can bring back Ms. Johnson. My thoughts today are with her family members, who have demonstrated their love for Ms. Johnson and their commitment to keeping her memory alive throughout the course of this prosecution.”
