Chief Administrative Judge Lawrence K. Marks, Deputy Chief Administrative Judge for NYC Courts Deborah Kaplan and Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. hosted the dedication of the Honorable Betty Weinberg Ellerin Children’s Center at 111 Centre St. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

The center is named in honor of the trailblazing judge whose seven-decade career has been defined not only by many historic firsts—including first woman law clerk in the New York State Court System and first woman Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division, First Department—but by her deep commitment and lifelong work to improve the treatment of women and children in our courts and justice system.
