“As alleged, these defendants robbed several Manhattan smoke shops and threatened the lives of hardworking store clerks,” said District Attorney Bragg. “We will continue to stand up for the safety of our workers and will not allow smoke shops to become magnets for violent crime.”

“Kimond Cyrus allegedly murdered Sueng Chul Choi in a brutal, chilling act of violence,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Bodegas are essential threads woven throughout our Manhattan communities. We mourn the tragic loss of Mr. Choi and will continue to use every tool at our disposal to keep our hardworking bodega and deli workers safe.”

“Daryl Campbell was convicted by his peers of killing a man and shooting three others during a tragic and deadly confrontation in a packed New York City music venue,” said District Attorney Bragg. “In addition to seriously injuring his rival and killing his rival’s bodyguard, Mr. Campbell shot innocent bystanders and put hundreds of other lives at risk. Beyond the pain that still lives with Mr. McPhatter’s loved ones, every death tears at the fabric of our city and communities. We will vigorously prosecute anyone who commits this type of deadly violence.”
