“Kimond Cyrus was sentenced to a significant state prison term for the horrifying shooting of Sueng Chul Choi as he was working his late-night shift.” said District Attorney Bragg. “Cyrus engaged in escalating turned-deadly gun violence – committing a gunpoint robbery before brazenly ending Mr. Choi’s life. Mr. Choi was a father and a hardworking person, and although we cannot bring him back, I hope that his family and loved ones can take solace knowing this defendant has been brought to justice.”

“Justin Deprospo callously and fatally shot Burnie Pleasant, a father of two with musical aspirations,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Gun violence has cut short far too many lives and has destroyed entire families. My Office will continue to hold accountable anyone who uses guns to harm New Yorkers – nobody should have to experience the pain experienced by Mr. Pleasant’s loved ones.”

“Mr. Reeves was a loving father whose life was taken in a sudden and horrific act of gun violence,” said District Attorney Bragg. “The defendants coordinated this brazen attack and shot Mr. Reeves without any regard for his life. Combatting gun violence remains my top priority, including by holding offenders accountable. Thanks to our hardworking prosecutors, the defendants will serve significant prison terms. My heart goes out to Mr. Reeves’ family and loved ones, who are still recovering from this tragedy.”

“As alleged, Domingo Vasquez Rodriguez callously assaulted and then robbed 99-year-old Jose Antonio Tur at gunpoint before fleeing with his cash,” said District Attorney Bragg. “Mr. Tur was a pillar of his community and deeply loved by his family members. I offer all those mourning his death my sincere condolences.”
